One of the techniques that can be used for this task is solution option analysis, which is the process of comparing and evaluating different approaches that will meet the solution requirements. To evaluate whether externally available solutions meet the requirements, the BA can create and distribute a Request for Information (RFI), which is a document that solicits information from potential vendors or suppliers about their products or services. An RFI can help the BA to gather information about the features, benefits, costs, and risks of different solution options.
