Apple Learning explains that when this pane is skipped, the Mac will not prompt the user to create a local administrator account during setup. Instead, the Mac expects the user to authenticate with anetwork account (such as one tied to LDAP or Active Directory) or have an account provisioned later through another method (for example, an identity tool like Jamf Connect). This option is often used in environments where accounts are centrally managed, reducing local variability and enforcing directory-based access. The setup process does not fail, and users are not forced to erase their device. Instead, account creation is deferred or redirected, depending on the organization's chosen identity integration.
