The default host firmware policy is a system-defined policy that contains the firmware entries of all the components that are supported by the Cisco UCS Manager version. When a Cisco UCS Manager upgrade occurs, the default host firmware policy is updated to contain the firmware entries of all the components that are supported by the new Cisco UCS Manager version. The default host firmware policy is not replaced, assigned, or matched by any other policy after a Cisco UCS Manager upgrade.
