HPE OneView can manage both HPE Synergy and HPE ProLiant rack servers, but not from the same appliance instance when Synergy is involved.
When HPE OneView is used to manage HPE Synergy, it uses a special Synergy-specific appliance (Composer or Composer2), which cannot directly manage rack servers like the HPE ProLiant DL385 Gen10 Plus v2.
To manage rack servers, the customer must deploy a separate HPE OneView virtual appliance dedicated for that purpose.
Once deployed and configured, this appliance can manage HPE ProLiant rack servers independently.
