Stateful Switchover (SSO) provides sub-second failover for physical controller failures and very fast recovery for network failures while preserving session state. Because the active and standby WLCs share state information, failover is transparent to external systems such as Cisco Catalyst Center and Cisco ISE, meeting the hospital's strict uptime and transparency requirements.
